Signature dj Academy offers international lectures to foreigners living in Daegu. Classes are conducted in English, and you can learn DJing easily and interestingly through a systematic curriculum.

1:1 Private DJ Lesson Course


What is this course about?

  • This course systematically teaches the entire DJing process, from mixing music using DJ equipment to applying various effects.
  • Students will learn essential DJing skills step by step, including beatmatching, mixing, applying effects, and song selection, with the goal of creating their own unique DJ set.
  • Even those without a musical background can easily follow along, as the curriculum covers fundamental concepts to practical applications in a structured manner.
  • A specialized curriculum tailored to individual goals and skill levels ensures personalized lessons.

How is the lesson conducted?

  • The 1:1 Private DJ Course is structured around four core topics, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.
  • The curriculum is an upgraded, personalized version based on the Signature DJ Academy’s standard curriculum, allowing for a tailored approach that meets each student's individual needs and goals.

Theme 1: Basic Concepts & Fundamental Practice

  • Orientation & Rekordbox Setup – Introduction to DJing and the three core elements of DJing
  • Music File Management – Downloading tracks, organizing them in Rekordbox, and learning basic equipment operation
  • Cue, Hot Cue, and Memory Cue – Understanding and practicing cue settings, along with basic beatmatching exercises
  • Advanced Beatmatching & Looping Techniques – Refining beatmatching skills and utilizing loop functions effectively
  • Bar Matching & Basic Mixing (EQing) – Learning the concept of bar matching and practicing fundamental mixing techniques using EQ controls

Theme 2: Track Analysis, Basic Mixing & Effects Learning

  • Review of Basic Mixing & Track Analysis – Identifying key song structures such as Intro, Breakdown, Drop, and Outro

  • Advanced Track Analysis & Bar Counting – In-depth breakdown of track sections, including verse outro and break bars

  • Point Mixing & Effects Application – Learning essential effects such as Reverb, Echo, Hot Cue Jump, and Flanger

  • Point Mixing Review & Practical Application – Practicing mixing techniques using Echo and Flanger for smoother transitions

Theme 3: Mastering Outro Break Mix

  • Outro Break Mix & Backspin Practice – Learning and refining outro break mixing techniques along with backspin transitions
  • EQing Based on Sound Dynamics – Adjusting EQ settings to match different sound textures for seamless mixing


Theme 4: Comprehensive Review & Applied Practice

  • Review & Practice of 10 Point Mix + Outro Break Mix Combinations – Reinforcing previously learned techniques through structured practice
  • Loop Attack Concept & Application – Understanding the loop attack technique and applying it to outro break mixing
  • Building a DJ Set – Combining all practiced mix techniques into a cohesive DJ set for performance preparation

When Are Lessons Available?

  • Schedule: Available on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 12 PM to 7 PM (subject to weekly changes).
  • Lesson Duration: 50 minutes per session, once per week
  • Tuition Fee: 350,000 KRW for 4 sessions

  • Receive guidance on available courses and schedules.

2. Course Selection & Schedule Confirmation

  • Choose between a group class or 1:1 private lesson.
  • Review course details and start dates before finalizing your registration.

3. Registration & Payment

  • Complete the course registration form and proceed with payment.
  • Payment options include bank transfer or credit card payment.

4. Enrollment Confirmation & Preparation Guide

  • Upon successful registration, you will receive a confirmation along with class schedules and preparation details.
  • Required materials and resources will be provided before the course begins.

5. Start of Lessons

  • Classes commence according to the confirmed schedule.
